74lobster
Hello everyone, after today's latest update of the device drivers, the iCUE v5.8.130 software crashes and can no longer be restarted. I tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it (I have also manually deleted the dirs Corsair and the registry keys), but it still crashes. The Windows version is: Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 Installed on 23/09/2023 OS build 22631.2506 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22677.1000.0 Nvidia drivers: 5.46.08 Armoury Crate: 5.7.6.0 Trident Z Lighting Control: v1.00.35 OpenRGB 64 bit How can this problem be solved? I thank you in advance.

jet399
Never noticed this file path before, is it new? Don't see anything on Google for it... Interesting name "C:\Program Files\Corsair\Corsair iCUE5 Software\tmp\download\cuepkg-unpacked\data-mining-usb_5.8.130_win32-release-amd64.cuepkg\data\InstallDirectory\modules\DataMiningUsb.dll"

Rogue_Five
Pleased to report that the temperature monitoring on AMD graphics cards has been fixed. However, the CPU Utilization % is still wayyyyyyyy off. Under reports by a factor a 4-6x.
ArgonV
🍿 I've not updated from v5.5 because of all the recent issues. Hope this one pans out!
ArgonV
Well I just upgraded, most everything went well - but now I have duplicate widgets for my SSDs and I have 2 video cards in the dashboard. 😞 Any ideas out to fix?
BlaiseP
@ArgonV - have you restarted your machine? This often fixes anomalies like you describe.
ArgonV
I have, twice. Did the repair also, and "Restored" the widgets to default by clicking the button in Settings - Dashboard

Hi, I had the same problem using another version. You must delete your personal settings and re-configure iCUE.
Mieekaserra
Well i updated from 5.7.106, and have USB Webcam, MM800 polaris and LT100 connected to my monitor. Whenever I switch my monitor into standby - those devices normally turn off, then back on again (i can hear the windows disconnect and reconnect nopises though the speaker). This action is triggering a crash on iCUE v5.8.130. Fortunately i had a restore point i could rollback to.
ArgonV
I fixed my duplicate Dashboard widgets by: Exiting iCUE Ending Tasks of all Corsair Services via Task Manager Making a backup of the config.cuecfg file, then deleting it. This file is located at C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\CUE5\ Restarting iCUE You will need to go re-check your iCUE app settings for updates, storage drive widgets, Automatic Downloads, SDKs, etc... There are other Dashboard widget config files located at: C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\CUE5\widgets C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\CUE5\sensors If you delete those, it will reset your names and layouts for your sensors in the dashboard. My Fan PIN selections for the Commander Pro were also all reset back to AUTO. Luckily I remembered what I had before. Best to take screenshots of your layout, sensor names and Fan PIN settings before you do any of the above. Edited November 9 by ArgonV
ArgonV
You will have to also tell your lighting node core and commander pro about your lighting channel selections again. Forgot to mention that, apologies. Make backups of those files first! I haven't tried just deleting the files at C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\CUE5\widgets and C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\CUE5\sensors, and keeping the original config.cuecfg file. Worth a try! Might have to do less re-setup and re-config'ing that way... Edited November 9 by ArgonV
Eeejut
All works so far for me - my only issue is that the software will NOT save dashboard graph show / hide settings ... nor will it remember which screen / position it should be on I suppose these are minor gripes compared to some peoples, but - if a software gives options for a user to set, then why can't it save / restore them properly - else why have options to start with ... ?? ArgonV
Does anyone have an idea what the "VGA Load" sensor is? I have it displayed on my iCue Nexus screen but it's always at 0%.
Sinkhole
Did the update yesterday and now my H100i Platinum does not show up. It shows up when I look under setting for software updates but now I am stuck with a rainbow puke waterblock while the rest of my system is red. You will only see a non-zero value during video decoding, watching online videos, or similar operations aside from traditional rendering like gaming. I don't see a lot of specific references for the term when searching, so the language may be Corsair's. What other sensors do you have for the GPU in CUE? pcut
Hi All, I am in need of some serious help here...Left on business travels and while I was gone my system updated to Windows 11. When I returned I noticed a popup stating that iCUE had unexpectedly encountered a crash, I didn't really think anything about it and went on to finish the updates on my system that needed to be done. Needless to say later that night I noticed my iCUE Link system had not changed speed and the colors were off from what I had set. Tried to restart iCUE and got the same message as before right away. The Windows version is: Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 OS build 22631.2506 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22677.1000.0 This is a brand-new build put together on 11/04/2023 and was working perfectly fine when I left on 11/06/2023 Gigabyte Auros Pro x Z790 Intel i7-14700 4x DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB 64GB (4x16GB) DDR5 DRAM 6400MT/s iCUE LINK H150i RGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler 3x iCUE LINK QX120 RGB 120mm PWM PC Fans 1x iCUE LINK QX140 RGB 140mm PWM PC Fans I have tried everything I could find on the web to get this resolved and there is nothing that has worked and I mean nothing so far!!! Please help!!
c-attack
2 hours ago, pcut said: am in need of some serious help here You likely need to do a clean install. If this was a Win 10->11 changeover or even an annual Windows 11 update, drivers seems to get squished in the process. The directions are below and it will erase everything, so make sure you have exported any valuable CUE profiles prior to starting. As this is a new build, you may not have many/any. https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025166712-Perform-a-clean-reinstallation-of-the-Corsair-Utility-Engine-iCUE- The other thing is there has been an uptick in user reported crashes like the above on CUE version 5.8.130. I don't think we have connected any common cause for it. If this was a one time crash, you can disregard the above and continue on. If CUE is crashing repeatedly, then I would do a clean install. For a back to back crash like that, it is likely the underlying CUE services were still entangled with whatever caused the crash. If that happens, reboot the machine so all services can start over, then monitor for subsequent misbehavior.

Ah thanks, For my 7900 XTX I have: VGA Load VGA Mem VGA Temp VGA Hotspot VGA Fans VGA Engine #1 (I might have renamed them from GPU to VGA so I don't confuse with CPU in my sensor names at a glace) Edited November 12 by ArgonV
ArgonV
I got the Load sensor working by clearing/deleting the sensor cache file, but the Engine sensor is always just at 0%.
