Is The Corsair iCUE LINK Compatible With iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT Controller?

Hi guys,

I have brought myself a 7000 Series case which all will be getting plugged into the iCUE Commander Core Controller, I have also brought the Corsair 420mm iCUE LINK H170i AIO which uses the iCUE Link, I'm just wondering what would be the best way to set this up correctly? I am not sure if I can plug one into another or it has to be separate?

Any help would be appreciated,

They are going to be separate systems and each uses a different power delivery method.

The CUE Link aio is on 12v power from the cue link hub. You must use it and this is likely the global system going forward. Everything on there is autodetect and you really only need to make the physical connections.

What are you doing for fans?  If QX like on the AIO, then they will be on Link hub. If something else, they can be on the Commander Core, Lighting Node Core or older controllers.

While it seems like one universal controller is a good thing, there are situations where multiple controllers allow better grouping or specific control.
