brianporter2000
i built a new system, and expected to use my corsair pc3700. now my new system has tons of errors, even to the point where i have to reset the cmos when ever i restart. i am baffled why this doesnt work. no compatibility report says they are compatible, and i dont have the cash to just spend on new ram. i have tried setting it manual, by spd and auto. the system runs, it just failes once in a while. is it my settings. the voltage. it says its running at 1t at a CL3 rating. i cant get any info on manually setting the speeds. this has been going on for at least 1 month. can i get some xpert advice. no novice stuff. Wired
Do you mean you have a VENICE core instead of Vincent? What is the rating of the CPU? Are you trying to run the mem @ PC3700 and the HTT @ 200, or running them in sync? If in sync, what speed?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 30, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 30, 2005 I would try these settings after you load setup/optimized defaults and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. Dim Voltage: 2.75 Volts SDRAM CAS Latency: 3T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T
