bokko
Believe the topic explains it all, any other software can be modified or removed except iCue. Believe it occurred with most recent iCue 5.6 update. At same time the system sensors for my MSI motherboard stopped working. Have already remove AV software to see that had any affect (Nod 32) Have never installed any other system software on this computer with money spent on your gear... bokko
its complaining macro is not their yet its running in dashboard Perhaps a manual uninstaller could be developed? I have never been able to save my dashboard layout either pretty frustrating when you have a 27" 4k monitor and you still can't display all sensors without moving things around. bokko
Tried revo uninstaller no go. Not listed in programs and features but is listed in Apps and Features as shown above. Why would program not be able to install over itself? You post windows troubleshooters that are not even supported anymore. Guess spending 2k on your hardware was mistake just need a to know what the manual uninstall string is thanks found the uninstaller how about posting an explanation of how to use it? Thanks
bokko
What is that even supposed to mean? Edited September 16 by bokko
bokko
C:\Program Files\Corsair\Corsair iCUE5 Software>icue-uninstaller -a uninstall Let reinstall windows because software can't even uninstall itself wahoo
Solution bokko Posted September 16 Author Solution Share Posted September 16 The hero biscuit goes to bokko From an elevated command prompt (run as administrator) CD \ CD C:\Program Files\Corsair\Corsair iCUE5 Software> type icue-uninstaller -a repair Press enter Restart and icue is loading again and I have the ability to uninstall again. Only check for updates still doesn't work.
bokko
to add after you type repair command above a Corsair window pops up once it says complete select finsh, then restart computer and iCue loaded automatically on startup again. More importantly my settings were not lost. The check updates in the software works. Right clicking the iCue icon in notification area selecting check update does not, no big deal for me. Would really like to see a way to save dashboard layout.

ZeeBeeKay
I have tried running the command prompt as administrator to run the repair service. Clicked finish and restarted my computer. My computer did not boot properly after this and I had to hard reboot (hold power button down) and try again. Once it finally booted, I still get prompted with the same error message I have been getting ever since updating to this latest version
ZeeBeeKay
UPDATE: was able to resolve this issue by updating my graphics card driver and reinstalling armoury crate lite package. Not sure why this worked, but it did.
ZeeBeeKay
Update 2: on this mornings update, the problem is back. There was another geforce driver update, but that did not resolve the issue this time.
bokko
Don't run any software but the iCue with its add-in for my MSI board but I went all in with Corsair keyboard, mouse, fans and cooling. I have only seen that crashing window when returning from power management playing diablo 4. I run Intel CPU and AMD video card. Try Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) then reinstall your display driver Edited September 22 by bokko

Try rebooting WIndows to safe mode and then do a manual clean install. Directions linked below and the registry clean out is critical. Unfortunately this has become a real mess and one of these methods works for one user, but not for another suggesting there are multiple forms of the problem. https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025166712-Perform-a-clean-reinstallation-of-the-Corsair-Utility-Engine-iCUE-
