Hellacopter
Hello. I`m having major lag issues when playing battlefield 2. I already have two sticks of (2 x 512) Corsair twinx PC 4000. In Norway (where I live) they sell the Corsair XMS4400C25 for a better price than the 4000 stics I already got. So would adding Corsair XMS4400C25 to my (2 x 512) Corsair twinx PC 4000 give me compabilyti issues? (I`m planning on running 254 FSB, even with the XMS 4400 added, cause thats where my XMS 4000 are stable). System: Abit IC7 MAX3 P4 3,0E@3,8 (FSB 254) Sapphire X800XTPe @ 550 590 (2 x 512) Corsair twinx PC 4000
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 29, 2005 If you go to 4 modules you may not be able to reach the same frequency that you have the 4000's at now. I would suggest you consider Twinx2048-3200C2 for best performance with 2.0 Gig of memory.

Or if I go with the Twinx2048-3200C2 will they do 250 FSB?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 29, 2005 ok. But will I be able to run at 250 FSB with both modules? A: I really doubt it, probably the system would top out about 215-230 at Cass 3-3-3-8 with 4 modules. But you are welcome to try it if you like. But I would suggest you match what you have now both in part# and revision for best compatibility. Or if I go with the Twinx2048-3200C2 will they do 250 FSB? A: The tested settings for these modules would be Cass 2.5-3-3-6 at DDR400 on this platform, as far as how high they will O.C thats hard to same but I would suspect about 210-230 MHz. Thanx for the reply, maybe I`ll just wait a couple of months and save up money for a AMD Dual core setup with to gigs of RAM and a 7800 GT card.
