pegotico
So im going to change the fan on my H60 2018 for a slim 120 because of space limitations. I read in some other place that with a slim 120 you should use 3/4" long screws, because the included ones would destroy the fins and cause leakage. As i understand from the past post I've read here in the forum, it seems the already included 1 1/4" will do just fine. Even if the screws go a little farther, nothing will happen with the fins and no leakage will occur. Is that right? can someone confirm this please? c-attack
Assuming your "slim" fans are 15mm, you are looking for a 6-32 machine screw that is approximately 17-20mm in length. You only need 2mm to grab the radiator and they rest is about case frame thickness or how the fan is mounted. If it's straight to the radiator with no case to pass through, 17mm is all you need. 3/4" (19mm) should be fine for most installs. I would not use the 1 1/4 inch screws. It would be a brutal effort to push that through the radiator fins and no guarantees you won't rupture a channel at that length. c-attack
I think 6-32 and 3/4" is a good fit.

pegotico
If this helps someone... I bought 6-32 and 3/4" from Lowes and this didn't work. Was able to get them 7/8" long and was the perfect size. I would think the bracket to install the rad was a little thicker.
