iCue link h150i intermittently not working at start up...

Intermittently, both the pump and fans fail to start up at system initialization. The only way when this happens to make it restart again is that I remove the usb from the link and put it back in. I am still within 60 days to return it but I really prefer not too. Unfortunately support have not answered at all so I am wondering if somebody else experienced the same issue and if there is a way to fix it. I tested on two motherboards with the same issue. Asus Rog Strix z790 and z690.

This is the new AIO that uses the "CUE Link" system?  Do you have QX fans as well?  If so, can you describe how they are arranged on the circuit.  (For example: QX-QX-QX-HUB-AIO-QX-QX-QX).

Can you clarify whether this is a failure to power on (no lights, no fan action, no pump, CPU temp rapidly rising) or pump/fan lights on, fans not moving, AIO or CUE Link hub not recognized in CUE?

Hi, yes this is the iCUE LINK H150i RGB 360mm. When it does not not power on, the pump does not have an audible sound and light and fans are no moving. Temperature goes up. The only way I have to have it working again is to remove the usb from the hub and repower the computer....

Ok, I’d wait for support then to get the hub replaced. The Link hub has a ‘stop fan’ moment built into the fan startup sequence and I can see it getting stuck there with a missing or corrupt fan curve data. However, if the lights are out everywhere, no pump noise, and cpu temp going up — that’s no power and a much bigger issue.

I was curious about how many QX fans you have and in what order because they all share the same power circuit. I don’t think we really know yet where the weak spots might be. One way to test it is to disconnect the QX fans from the circuit and run only the AIO (and its 3 fans) — if you have more than the three QX. If it’s just the AIO plus 3 QX120, then total power can’t be an issue and points the finger back at the hub.

Hi, I only have the 3 QX fans. The other 3 fans are the ones from the case (Carbide 675). Before I started to have this issue, I was going to replace them all and rethink the overall airflow as it does not look ideal right now.  I will wait for support.

Jayztwocents tested it, AIO must be connected to other port on HUB, can't be connected in series with other fans. Probably to.much power draw.

Hi guys, was having the same issue but mine arose when I added 1 extra fan to my build to complete all the fan slots (had 9 now 10), I initially thoughts the problem was because the new fan I added wasn't updated to the newest firmware, but then I started having pump issues (like not working, for added reference it's the iCue Link H150i RGB) all other fans in my system are all QX120 iCue link.

I tried splitting the devices so the power was being shared more to the AIO, it's 3 fans and 1 extra on one side of the hub and the other 6 fans connected to the other side of the hub and still no go on it working.

For reference I watch The Provoked Prawn for some troubleshooting but it ultimately didn't work in the end.

*MY SOLUTION* I SWITCHED THE HUB FAN LINK CABLE FROM THE CPU FAN HEADER TO THE PUMP FAN HEADER AND IT'S SEEMED TO HAVE FIXED THE ISSUE.

I will update if any further issue's arise, but I hope this helps anyone in the meantime, temps have been at a nice steady 30-32C since doing this, as apposed to the shooting up to 80C it was doing with the issue.
