Tested Bad Module -

Recommended Posts

Ack! One of our Twinx 2x512 Modules went bad. BSODed our Production server! (Bad - very bad - we supply Oil and Gas data and this probably raised world oil prices $0.01) :sigh!:

Confirmed which module went bad using Memtest 86. Purchased from Newegg 6 months ago - past there 30 day warrenty.

Mr. Ram Guy, could I have a go ahead to apply for RMA#?

And what was the memory frequency set to? You might try these settings to be sure.

CPU Freq: 133 MHz

Memory Frequency: 100%

Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts

Resulting Frequency: 133MHz

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T

Then test with http://www.memtest.org to be sure. If you do find it's still failing please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
