The_Ugly_Fugly
Im running Athlon 2400+ with Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro 2 [Revision 2.0], i recently got the TWINX1024-3200XL, I installed both CMX512-3200XL modules into the corresponding dim slots, [1 & 3] for dual channel, but when i run i get PC Speaker beeps, indicating DRAM error... and am unable to enter post screen, however when i run only one module at a time, it works fine BIOS settings are the settings preset by Optimal Default's option, with onboard sound, and raid disabled, other than that the settings are running set by that option I'm not quite exactly sure wots wrong, mobo or ram, and what to do to fix it

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 27, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 27, 2005 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. If both modules run and pass http://www.memtest.org but the system will not post in dual channel then I would get the MB replaced as that would suggest a problem with the memory controller. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 30, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 30, 2005 Also with that system you would need to set the Dim Over Voltage control to +.2 Volts and set the memory Frequency to 100% or 1-1 with your CPU or it may error out.
