c-attack
We see users pop up now and then with a random key or two stuck with some type of tint. It can be a frozen LED or a blown LED. However, it seems very suspicious it is on the WASD keys alone. That looks like a white layer. What happens if you set the KB to 0/255/0 pure green? Do they go out? If they do not go out, can you post your Lighting Effects screen in CUE for the keyboard? The usual fix if the LED is 'frozen' is to a forced firmware update. Go to the CUE gear setting -> Firmware -> K70 Mk.2 and check for updates. It will come back and say none or up to date, but then reveal "force update". Click it to reload the current firmware. Yeah, they didn't go out, but here are my lighting effects. I'll try the "Force update".
tinfoilhat
Yeah, my WASD keys are still different colors, I might even just buy a new keyboard. Edited June 2 by tinfoilhat
c-attack
That’s weird. Just to be sure, create a new profile on the main window with the + key and then add a new lighting layer to the KB — in case there is some weird UI glitch with a hidden layer or some other bizarre corruption of the profile. Last tool you can use is the KB “ESC key reset”. Details below. Be aware this will erase any settings saved to the KB. https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025465031-How-to-Reset-your-keyboard Which raises another key question — when you quit CUE and the KB drops into hardware lighting mode (whatever is saved to the board), do the WASD keys still keep that magenta tint? Yeah, in hardware lighting mode, all the keys look the same, I tried the "ESC key reset before, didn't work.
c-attack
So if it does not do this in HW mode, then either the specific lighting profile is corrupted or their is another related software issue. If you've done the forced firmware update, the ESC key reset, created a new profile, and nothing changes, then the only thing left if a full clean install. Make sure you export any valuable profiles first, but if you use a fairly simply single profile it may be worthwhile to start from scratch in case their is something wrong in there. If this does not work, I have no more suggestions. https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025166712-Perform-a-clean-reinstallation-of-the-Corsair-Utility-Engine-iCUE-
