Automatik_Jack
Hey all, Sorry for asking a basic question, but I'm upgrading the GPU in my main rig and downstreaming my existing GPU into another system. Long story short - I need a compatible PCI-E cable that will pair with the RM750x. I HAVE an RM1200X Shift and I won't be using the standard PCI-E connectors. Can I just borrow one of those and use it with the 750? Based on the lettering, it feels like this is a "yes" but I want to confirm because I'd really rather not blow up a 3080 Ti. Thanks. LeDoyen
The RMx shift PSUs use Corsair type 5 cables, normal RMx use type 4. They are physically different. Type 5 use smaller connectors. You'll have to get type 4 PCIE cables for the RM750x
Automatik_Jack
Yeah. I hadn't opened the packaging for the Shift when I posted that because I was still going through the rebuild with the 750 RMx. Once I actually saw the physical connectors on the Shift, I felt like a dumbass for even opening this topic. Thanks for responding, though!
