HS80's not showing up on ICue

Recommended Posts

Ever since the new update for ICue my headset doesn't show up on the ICue thing. It works i can hear audio from it, my pc detects it and everything. But on the Icue app the dongle (reciever) shows up on there but not the Headset its-self, i can no longer change the RGB or equalizer presets. The green light indicator on the headset keeps flashing green, the dongle flashes red for about two minutes till it turns off. how do i fix it

Have you connected the HS80 directly to the pc via usb since installing?

I have the same problem. Once I updated to iCue 5, I have not been able to access the headset anymore. I can still get audio from it, and the flip-to-mute mic works. The iCue software sees the wireless receiver, but it doesn't show the headset.

I had this exact issue and had to connect my headset via USB.  iCUE then gave me a weird message about how it only downloads what I need and then wouldn't allow me to use the headset until I rebooted (PTSD flashbacks to Windows 98 intensify).  I have no idea how they seem to think it makes sense for the software to install what's needed for the receiver but not the headset since, you know, you aren't going to just randomly plug in an HS80 receiver without also using the headset.  I lose more and more faith in Corsair as the years go by but at least I was able to fix the issue.

Because it has a slipstream multi-point wireless receiver that can be used to connect multiple Corsair wireless devices. Asking the receiver to automatically predict what you may or may not want to connect is contrary to software modular design change. It is fairly logical to predict you may need to connect a wireless device directly to a PC in order to do a first time setup.

Hello,

please try the following:

  1. quit icue
  2. Remove the USB dongle from the PC
  3. Connect the HS80 with a USB cable to the PC
  4. Start the new iCUE 5 installer and select "App Repair" in the 2nd step.
  5. after the process restart the PC once
  6. Remove the USB cable from the HS80
  7. Plug the USB dongle into the PC
  8. under iCUE the HS80 as well as the USB dongle should now appear*

*if necessary run the pairing process once

If anybody is looking for a solution that is not solved by Marcus above.  Disconnect everything, uninstall iCue, reboot.  Download latest installer and setup from scratch.

iCue was not detecting any firmware updates for the HS80 prior to re-install but immediately applied a firmware update after re-installing iCue from scratch.  Connected headset via cable, confirmed detected in iCue then paired with the wireless receiver successfully.  Everything back to normal.

App repair as described by Marcus did not work for me.  Clean install solved all issues.

Hope it helps if not already obvious!

This work for me !thank you so much !!!!!!

TL;DR step by Step
1. Uninstall iCUE
2. Unplug your HS80 Dongle and Unplug UBC that connect to HS80 if it still plug in
3. Restart you PC
4. Install iCUE new version
5. Open iCUE
6. Plug USB to HS80 and to PC
7. Plug in HS80 dongle to PC
8. iCUE will tell you to restart your PC, Restart PC
9. Enjoy !!!

I'm having the same problem.  My windows 11 PC did see the headset but not the microphone.  I did a clean uninstall using revo uninstaller and removed everything.  Rebooted and did a fresh iCue install, followed the prompts and it saw my plugged in headset but the minute I disconnected the USB cable, it lost the headset and now my headset is back to blinking red red mic.

Now my PC doesn't register the headset at all.  I even deleted the headset from devices and rebooted.

I'm about to toss the headset in the trash.
