No power button!!, really? why is nobody talking about this? how do y'all turn it off?
on/off switch (in my opinion it is the most important thing in all electronic devices, no matter the size small, medium, large or the battery life is great) we always need to be able to turn it off!
What would happen to a human not being able to sleep or rest? His life would be terribly short, right?
well, there we go, same will be happen to our beautiful CORSAIR VIRTUOSO XT, I am going to give 3 stars because I have been using Corsair for years (check pics) and because this XT Headset is possibly the best and most versatile headset out there today.
Corsair's Virtuoso RGB Wireless XT headset is extremely comfortable, versatile, and it delivers great sound. It can even connect and play audio from a PC and phone (or other Bluetooth device) at the same time also work in any console and have many customizations.
Battery life is amazing and you can hear even the buzz of a bee in your games or videos.
My only problem is no power button! this is sad.

Yeah, i just got mine last night charged it and used it for about 4 hours. Then went i shut my system down to go to bed i couldn't find it. Looked at manual and nothing. Thought ok maybe it will auto oower off.

I went to bed got up and checked it. Yep it was off... tried to turn it on and it was dead...lol

So is that the new thing auto power off when dead since you can't turn it off?

Virtuoso XT can be powered off by just switching to USB mode (see screenshot from quickstart guide attached).

There's also a sleep mode set to 10min by default (see screenshot).

This is not helpful whatsoever nor is it what people are after here.  I just bought the Virtouso XT after my VOID finally died, and the problem is not shutting off wireless, (we all saw that in the manual). The problem is turning the stupid thing on in the first place.

for example, I switched it to USB mode so that I can use the headset with USB plugged in, and when I switched  it over to USB, the lights all shut off just like the manual says above.I cannot figure out how to turn the stupid thing on and use it with USB? there is nothing in the manual about using USB, there is no section other than this vague paragraph above, its ridiculous to be honest.

How do you turn it on and use it in USB mode? by switching it to USB, it shuts everything off, there is no audio, no lights (not even a green power light, the mic doesn't light up, there is no power at all when its switched to USB mode??? It has nothing to do with auto shut off, or shutting off Wireless mode, I am just trying to figure out how to use the stupid thing with USB and hear audio and I cannot even figure that out yet.

I love Corsair with a passion, but I am about to send it back to Amazon and buy the steel series in about 1 hour, how fed up I am about this stupid thing right now.

Dear @kbrent,

to use the headset in USB-mode, you must switch it to the wired position and connect it via USB cable. If it still doesn't work, pleas create a ticket via https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/p/welcome. Thank you!

I am not going to even bother. I think I may just buy a new pair of VOID's

to be honest, the sound quality is very poor with this Virtuoso. I am comparing them to my old VOID's, and the VOID has much better sound quality all around by far.  With VOID's, The game play was very loud and had a lot of different ranges of sound that you could pick up. The different sounds and actions were very distinct and clear with VOIDs, the iCUE app had more options for VOID including surround sound than it does with the Virtouso, in fact the only options I have is basically EQ. I don't have surround sound options, boosts, nothing.

The Virtouso’s sound overall is very tin can-like,  no matter how much I mess with the EQ, every EQ setting is very tin-like. The sound is all flat, there is no ranges like you had in the VOID, the EQ differences are not real major. You don't get the wide range of sounds like you do with VOIDs, you don't get the different sounds from other players walking by, or talking in their Mics, or weapon sounds, everything is mono-tone tin sounding. There is hardly any bass, nothing. It is a very flat sound and very quiet.

Even listening to HD music audio, its very tin sounding. I tried several EQ options and you just don't get that round-whole sound out of them like you do in VOID's. Most noticeably, I could have my windows volume control set on 15-20 and the headset would be so loud I could barely keep them on. With the Virtouso, I had to set my volume to above 50 just for it to even be a comfortable sound, that alone is really a problem I think because you can't get the volume out of them, I am not going to crank my volume control up to 100 just to hear sounds that I can hear with my volume control set on level 15/100 with VOID's

For the cost of these things and the very simple settings and functionality that Corsair removed with this design over prior designs, its not for me I don't think.

Dear @kbrent,

I can understand that this is very disappointing to you. We do what we can to optimize sound quality of our headsets further with new models but of course, sound quality/sound reception is very subjective. Hence it doesn't fit everyone. Maybe you still can return the headset at the reseller for a refund. If you've purchased it via our webstore, you can iniate the return via https://returns.corsair.com if the purchase has been made within the last 60 days.
