Can detect sensors in iCUE

Recommended Posts

I was trying to update iCUE because I saw the colors of my fans changing and it seemed the software was not properly working. Anyway, I was on version 4 (can't remember the exact but 4.1 or 4.2, it's been working fine since Jan 2022) and was trying to update to the most recent version 4.33. However, every time I tried to update it would basically fail (but wouldn't tell me through any kind of pop up, the updating screen would just go away, never a change to hit "finish" or "reset") and then I couldn't open the app unless I reset, then it would still say I was on the older version. I also had all firewalls/antivirus down, GPU rgb was turned off in RGB fusion, Asus mobo rgb turned off, logitect rgb turned off.

So, I uninstalled with revo/icue, and just downloaded the newest version and when I open it, my dashboard is blank, and no system info or devices populate in the sensors tab. I tried reinstalling, same thing. I tried repair twice, same thing. No sensors. Could anyone help me because I cant find any other articles on the corsair website for troubleshooting?

The Dashboard going blank is unfortunately quite common, as long as you can add them back.  There is a small growing number of users reporting they sensors are physically missing from the drop down menu to add them back as well as all other places in the program.  If this applies to you, I suggest the following and report back what works or does not.

Try rolling back to 4.32 to see if it helps.  If 4.32 no longer loads devices (assuming it did previously), then this could be an OS related issues and may need to consider a clean install to clean up the issue.  A clean install will wipe every setting and profile.  Make sure you export those or have already created backups.  Try rolling back to 4.32 first.  All you need to do is uninstall 4.33 normally through the Windows Apps list.  DO NOT choose the delete all profiles options.  Then download and reinstall 4.32.  It should pick up at the exact moment you updated to 4.33.  If rolling back to 4.32 does not work, then you need to do the clean install and then load 4.32 again (not 4.33) with no past configuration data.  It's not clear if this is CUE side, Windows side, or something else.
