DaveF
Hello, I think I have a faulty stick of Corsair Memory. I am using two sticks of CMX512 - 3200CP2T. Faulty suspected faulty stick is: XMS3202v1.2 0331018 Motherboard: ASUS K8NE-Dlx CPU: Athlon64 3000+ (Clawhammer) HD: WD Raptor 36GB OS: Windows XP I've run Memtest86 to check the sticks together and individually. Initially, the test was run with the BIOS settings at autodetect. Later I manually set hte voltage to 2.7V, which is the maximum I can select in the BIOS. The system is running at stock speeds (400MHz); nothing is overclocked. MEMTEST ERRORS (Both Sticks) Test: 6 Pass: 0 Failing Address: 0002a77e20c - 679.8MB Good: 02000000 Bad: 42000000 Err-Bits: 40000000 Count: 1 MEMTEST ERRORS (Both Sticks - positions reversed) Test: 6 Pass: 0 Failing Address: 000158a9df4 - 344.5MB Good: 0200000 Bad: 42000000 Err-Bits: 40000000 Count: 2 MEMTEST ERRORS (1 Stick) Test: 4 Pass: 0 Failing Address: 000158a9df4 Good: 062d6739 Bad: 462d6739 Err-Bits: 40000000 Count: 1 MEMTEST ERRORS (Other Stick) No errors When I bumped the voltage to 2.7V, it went through a couple cycles of Memtest before the errors were detected. When they were detected, the errors occured in the same memory positions. Thank you for your help in this matter. Regards, David Friesema
