Cableram
Hello, I have just bought a Corsair Flash Voyager USB Device with 256 MB für my PC with WinXP Home SP2. When I have started the installation file the above file "HotFixQ0306270.exe" from August 5, 2003 was also installed in die systemstart. What will make this file and what happens when I delete from the systemstart. Cableram

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 22, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 22, 2005 As far as I know this may not be what it seems. Please see this link about this file. You should stop the service and then scan your system for malware/spyware and clean it.
Cableram
My WinXP SP2 is complete up to date with the updates from June 2005. On the mini CD with the USB-Stick is the installation program "Corsair Flash Voyager Utility.exe" In this file I can find informatins like this "HotFix PLFFAP <WINSYSDIR>\HotfixQ0306270.exe" "NoRepair HotFix Q0306270 ProductGuid" "iKernel.dll Setup.dll DotNetInstaller.exe iscript.dll ctor.dll iuser.dll IGDI.dll IsProBE.tlb objectps.dll setup.inx License.txt Uninst.dll vssver.scc _IsUser.dll corecomp.ini StringTable-0009-English.ips isrt.dll default.pal _IsRes.dll layout.bin data1.hdr data1.cab setup.exe setup.ini PLHHLIB.dll PLFlash.dll PLUtil.exe CheckPwd.exe CORSAIR.ico PLBkMon.exe UMSSCORS.inf PLUMSS.sys PLUMSPDR.pdr IoctlSvc.exe HotFixQ0306270.exe plff.sys http://devapache.installshield.com/NetNirvana/engine700/" This must mean that the file with 45.056 bytes is no spyware from another company but what does the file do with the Corsair USB-Stick.
