Virtuoso RGB won’t working with 3.5mm cable

Hi,

I searched around, didn’t find an answer to my problem, so hoping someone here can guide me in the right direction.

I’ve been using my Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE both wireless and over USB (on PS5, PC and Mac), always worked fine.

Now we got an Xbox so I needed to use the 3.5mm cable, which of course I’ve misplaced because I never used it. So I bought a generic 3.5mm 4-pole cable and thought that would solve it. With the cable plugged in I get sound on PlayStation and Mac, but the mic isn’t working. On the Xbox neither sound or mic is working.

Do I need a special Corsair cable (e.g. are the poles switched around) or is the problem elsewhere?

Correction: On xbox the sound is working, but not the mic (same as on other devices I’ve tested).
