A couple years ago, I bought two of the XMS3200 512mb memory sticks. Recently after trying to reinstall some programs in Windows XP, I was getting numerous CRC errors. I immediately suspected the memory. I run memtest, and get errors on test 5. I remove one of the modules, and repeat with no errors. I switch them and then get errors on test 5 again. All settings in the BIOS are set to auto. I have also tried setting things like tras, trp, cas manually from the list on the corsair website with no change. My computer is now running stable with the one 512mb module.

I'd like to RMA the part if possible, but of course open to more possibilities. Thanks.

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules again with wwww.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
