Awsten P.
Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well So my issue is that I have 2 sticks of DDR4 3200MHz Vengeance RGB Pro, and any time I try to boost the SPD speed of the sticks in BIOS, my computer won't POST. I'll have to pull the CMOS and run default settings at 2133MHz. I've tried using both of the default A-XMP profiles that I have, and also manually adjusting the speed, but neither works. I've also tried swapping the sticks around on the motherboard slots, and changing the positions of the sticks from 1-3 to 2-4. I've tried boosting the voltage of the RAM to 1.4v in conjunction with bumping the speed to 3200MHz, and still no dice. It's frustrating because I feel like I'm rather hamstrung at like 2/3 RAM speed. Anyway.. My specs are: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600X MOBO:MSI B550-A Pro and of course the 2 sticks of 16Gb Vengeance RGB Pro RAM (CMW32GX4M2E3200C16) I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks for any help in advance! Solution LeDoyen Posted February 11 Solution Share Posted February 11 for these kinds of issues, i'd first make sure the motherboard is updated to the latest bios version. they constantly update it for ram stability, so you really want to start there. 3200 C16 is really easy to run, so i wonder if your mobo isn't still running its factory bios version. Yeeeup! I flashed the BIOS to the most recent release and I was able to adjust the settings just fine, and the sticks are running at 3200. Crazy I didn't do that earlier, maybe I only had downloaded the mobo drivers... Anyway that was real easy, I appreciate you, man!
