Grimaldus1
Hello everyone, I'm running into problem with my new Commander Core XT as iCUE doesn't detect it. The Core receives power, the fans are spinning and the LEDs are working too, but I have no control over it and the fans are always going full speed which is quite noisy. I have the latest version of iCUE (4.32.129), tried both usb headers on my mobo (parts list bellow), checked all my drivers and BIOS are up to date, rebooted, reinstalled iCUE etc... Nothing seems to do the trick. I don't think it's a faulty devise as there is power and light but I'm running out of options. My fans are old LL120s from corsair with 3 pin connectors. Is that a problem? I'm on windows 10 64bit if that helps. Parts list: NZXT H7 Airflow B650 Aorus Elite Ax (rev 1.x) Ryzen 9 7900x Corsair H100x Gskill Trident Z5 DDR5 6000mhz 16go x4 (non RGB) RTX 3080 FE 6 LL 120 Corsair RGB fans (3 pin connectors)
t1971
I have no solution for you, but LL120s are not a problem.
Megatronpt
Did you do a firmware upgrade to the Commander Core?

I don't know how do to that but I fixed the problem by plugging the CCXT into the NZXT USB 2.0 header hub that I bought to test and it is now detected by iCUE. But I see on the user manual I can not control my fans speed because they are 3 pins. Would a firmware upgrade allow me to? People have been having and detecting issues with firmware updates on Commanders. I don't know if that would be a wise choice.

Megatronpt
Not a bother, just trying to help! Also.. I forgot to add this earlier. Was posting from the phone and forgot to add this image. There you will see the 3-Pin fans and the 4 Pin fans 3 Pin are usually controlled by voltage 4 Pin are PWM (Pulse With Modulation) The Commander Core XT is a PWM Fan Controller and a RGB hub, so no matter what trick you can do, you'll never be able to control the speed of 3-Pin Fans, only 4 Pin. Also.. I don't know if the rules allow this, but if they don't.. lets hope the mods edit the post instead of banning me... I had this site in my favourites from when I was trying to understand what I could do with some 3-pin leftover fans I had lying around https://www.futurescope.co/are-3-pin-fans-controllable/ Hope it helps in any way!
