keithk
I have a Pavilion HP a520n and a pair of corsair memory modules of 512mb each. My system has been crashing intermittently especially when running graphics intensive applications like WinDVD and media player. I ran memtest with 1GB installed, and the failed with lots of error. By process of elimination, I put in one module of 512MB at a time, and found that one module tested with no error while the other has a lot of memory error. Can you please let me know how I can return the pair back for an exchange? The labels on my pair of memory is CMSS512-333, 0511039-2, COR307621. Thanks, Keith :[pouts:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 20, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 20, 2005 I would just submit the failing module and test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!

That was how I found out about the bad module.
