HS70 Pro Sound and Mic Stop working with discord

I've been dealing with this issue for the past 6 odd or more months where while on discord and switching from games to webpages and with or without using the mute button basically bricks the headset with discord even tho discord says they are using certified drivers. ive done the 20 sec hold mute while off reset and even gone through all the uninstalls and reinstalls of drivers and icue  and the problem still persists. basically i cant hear or talk to people on discord while im doing my daily browsing and games. windows 10 and 11 both have the issue.  i still get the notifications of mute and unmute through the headset but no sound in discord. ive even gone into the sound settings of windows 10 and made discord to use the headset as default but this still doesnt fix the issue. to get around ive had to switch channels back and forth or play with the input and output device settings in discord to get it to work again. 

 

this is been giving me the shits for a long time now. not happy with this 160 dollar headset.

as a side note also that i have unchecked "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device in properties advanced of sound options.
