Bekrah
I’m using a Corsair RM1000x PSU. I’m also running a RTX 4090. Will this cable be enough to power it considering it only has two 8 pin connectors?
LeDoyen
yes it is. The only reason for the 4 cables adapter is the old PCIE connector has a power rating of 150W, so they need to use 4 cables to avoid exceeding the specification. Once you remove those connectors you don't require 4 cables, and only need a cable thick enough to take the current. In fact, the PCIE cables on ATX3.0 is a single cable, with 12VHPWR connectors on each end.
