h150i elite capellix stopped working after forced update

I created a ticket, so still waiting on a response but figure I ask here,

The h150i elite capellix worked on day 1 when installed with no issues, however next day it blinked red with the other fans. Looked up past issues others had and recommended to force and update on the cooler ( said they had success). So I did that, restarted the pc and fans were working fine without the blinking red but cooler seemed to have stopped working ( at first I thought it was just the lights not turning on). icue no longer recognizes the cooler either, went through some steps of updating driver and doing the repair for icue ( even reinstalled) but no luck. Is it possible the update just killed the cooler, it was recently bought.
