blepbloopblep
So I've had my Commander Core XT sine May, and so far it has worked perfectly fine lighting my first set of 3 sp120 fans. However I have just now added an additional 3 sp120 fans but none of them will light up. I have double checked that all of the rgb hub connectors and power connecters are plugged into the commander so I have no idea what could be going wrong. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iCue, but when the original 3 fans are lighting up and the most recent 3 are not I'm starting to think it may be a hardware issue. Someone please help. All fans are spinning.

So clearly I have a faulty piece of software, THANK YOU CORSAIR
c-attack
You need to be really clear on which "SP" fans you have. The original SP-RGB (2016) don't work lighting or fan control. The SP-Pro will work for lighting, but not speed control. Only the SP-Elite are compatible for both. The Commander XT has independent RGB headers, so unlike other controllers where a bad sector stops things at that spot, you should not get multiple fans out without a corresponding reason -- usually set up. These are the SP120 RGB Elite, both sets are. And do you know what specifically could be wrong with the set up? I find it hard to imagine how what could be misplaced when just those three headers aren't lighting things up. Every other header is working fine. c-attack
One thing to be careful of is the auto-detect feature on the Commander Core and XT. Both use that for PWM and RGB function and once you start troubleshooting by disconnecting and reconnecting it's easy to screw yourself up as the controller will have ports turned off. Go to the "RGB Wizard" and force it to re-run the detection program. If it still does not detect, go to Lighting Set-up and try to manually set it to "8 series LED fans x 6". It is possible there is a physical problem with the controller, but there have been only a handful of these "partially lit" type issues. Usually when it's bad the entire thing is dead and there are multiple problems. You mentioned "the hub". You do not need to use the Lighting Node Core that came in the SP-Elite pack by jacking it into the LED port on the Commander. You can direct connect to the 1-6 RGB ports on the side. If for whatever reason you do use the LED port with another controller, it will not auto-detect and you'll need to set it up manually as "fan type x number". blepbloopblep
Thank you I will try using the RGB Wizard and see if that works. Also I am not using the Lighting Node Core that was me referring to the 1-6 ports on the Commander. Where I have my old and new fans plugged in. Solution blepbloopblep Posted January 5 Author Solution Share Posted January 5 So checking the 'rgb wizard' was fruitless and after contacting customer support it seems to be a hardware issue. So if you come across this experiencing the same issue I would contact them and get an RMA because that's about all there is to do.
