Dual Commander Core XT RGB Order

D-Day

Recommended Posts

7000D Custom Water loop GPU and CPU 4 16g rgb corsair ram.

I am using 2 Commander Core XT's because of length of wire in the large case with lower fans attached to one and the upper fans attached to the other.

In ICUE software I can't figure out how to order the fans for full case effect...2 front fans on one and 2 on the other.

If you could point me to videos or another post that would be great.

Thanks

Moin ....

If you are using two Commander XTs (or two of any lighting controller), then you have two lighting groups. You cannot easily program a moving effect to jump between controllers.

It seems unlikely you have just 4 fans. How are the fans arranged?

Front = 360 radiator at the top 4 QL120's with one in the HD bay all pulling air in.

Side = Same as front

Top = 1 QL120 at the front to make room for the side radiator and 2 140 AirGuide non RGB (stock) at the back All blowing air out

Back = 1 140 AirGuide blowing air out.

Thanks

Would a commander pro with 2 Lighting Node Core's work? or would the Node's be two lighting groups?

It will still be two lighting groups — LED channel 1 and LED channel 2. On the Pro controllers each RGB Lighting hub is a channel/group. You are limited to 6 fans per group/channel.

What are you hoping to do with effects?  Most users want to run the unique LL/QL presets like pong, gate, ping, etc. and you can’t do this across multiple controllers. You must set the effect for each one and it will run from fan 1 to X on that controller only. For intra fan effects like rainbow wave, rotary stack, etc., this does not matter snd you simply set the effect once on each controller. It will be the same on every fan.

It is possible to manually program a wave to start on controller 1, fan 1and pass through the first series while the second waits, and then vice versa. However, it’s tedious to set up and requires some basic calculations for speed and tail.

Kontio,
