Whats the difference between XT and XF?

Hi!

I’m currently having to rectify a leak from my RTX 2080 Sea Hawk X which means I'm going to get a XG7 along with a few other Corsair Hydro X Series parts. I keep seeing XT or XF in the name of parts and cant find anything that explains it? I dont want to buy parts and then have an issue when fitting them because some are XF and some XT.

Where are you seeing the "XT" tag?  Most Corsair fittings carry the XF tab regardless of whether it is intended for hardline, soft tube, or general G 1/4" fitting.  

 

I'm also a bit concerned there is a XG7 block to fit your GPU.  As a former 2080 Ti EK Sea Hawk X owner, I would have striped that problematic block right off if there had been a XG7 block for it.

Dont worry I believe I have worked it out. XF is for all X series fittings and the XT is for all X series tubing. Thats my best guess after looking at all XT and XF listings.

@c-attack i checked on the corsair website for compatibility as my Sea Hawk has perished at the water block/pump on the card and Corsair says the XG7 (including rev b) both fit onto my Sea Hawk X so I’m just building my list of items needed. Didn't want to buy the wrong type parts so I thought I would ask here!

OK, I see what you mean on the tubing.  I was looking for fittings with the XT tag.  Good, I'm glad there is a block for your GPU.  2080 selection was better than Ti, but generally limited.

often these AIO GPUs use Nvidia reference design, as if they knew the cooler would fail and need to be replaced pretty quick by the buyer 😛
