The only way i can try and control my fans is through my h115i elite capellix but i cant customise fan curves to my liking, im currently on a msi x570 gaming plus motherboard, any help to try and get it to detect my hub would be greatly appreciated.

There are two general issues with this.  1) X470 (with BIOS updates) and B550/x570 boards have trouble managing their USB paths.  If you have an erratic connection (dropping in and out), you can try the suggestion below or most users need a powered USB hub to help the low board voltage output.

2) Even on some other boards, the Commander Core and XT can be picky, especially when run together plus a LCD top.  I don't see a LCD top, so you might try swapping the USB 2 internal connectors for the two devices and see if they both then pop.  Make sure you are not trying to run the Commander Core through the Commander XT's USB passthrough.  That is highly unlikely to work, but if you've tried everything else, go ahead and give it a shot.

do you think if i get a usb 2.0 to 3.0 adapter like the one i posted below and use usb 3.0 it will do anything?

That was a good solution for Z690. On the x570 most users tried the powered hub, but since usb 3 has a higher voltage and likely didn’t get stepped on in the board design, I would expect it to work.
