Icue h100i elite cappelix issue pls help

Just got my cpu cooler today but when starting it up the fans slow down and the rgb turns off. Then both the fans and cooler pump flash red while the fans spin to 100%. The icue 4 app doesn't detect the cooler so I don't know what the actual problem is. I've noticed when disconnecting one of the wires from the commander core and reconnecting it while the pc is on, it lowers the fan speed back to normal but the light on the pump head doesn't turn on while the fan lights still remain on. Temperatures seem low enough to where I don't think its a pump issue but who knows. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.
