ROMEREN
I currently have a corsair commander core that come with my capellix AIO cooler and have 6 fans plugged in to it. I am looking to get 3 more fans (total of 9) but then I will need one more fan hub I was looking to buy the core xt but I am wondering if I can plug the usb from the commander core capellix into the pig tail usb connecter that comes with the core xt. I cant use the other usb connecter on the mothboard because my wifi card needs to use it. will det pig tail usb from the core xt power the commander core for my AIO cooler? Typically not. Those two devices usually don't fare well sharing the same line with no extra power. The final say is motherboard dependent and how the manufacturer has packed in their lanes. Most users need a powered USB 2.0 hub when going past two internal USB connections. These are inexpensive, but make sure it has a SATA connector power. A standard unpowered splitter is not going to help if the passthrough on the XT does not work. Edited December 30, 2022 by c-attack
