Tbone310
Rgb help I have 9 fans in total 3 fans are connected to my node core and the other 6 are connected to a commander core. I have all the fan power connected to the commander core using splitters. All the RGB work on the commander but the 3 on the node don't. In my control panel, it detects both the commander and node core. The weird thing is that in ICUE it shows the node core, not the commander and when I mess with the lights in node it controls the lights connected to the commander but not connected to the actual node

When you are using it to power the AIO (the only way the pump works), CUE will show you a picture of the AIO pump head and not a 'Commander' in CUE. All of the Commander Core controls are there, but combined with the AIO controls under one device tab. 8 hours ago, Tbone310 said: when I mess with the lights in node it controls the lights connected to the commander but not connected to the actual node I suspect you are looking at the Commander Core in it's normal form, which means the pump is not detected. There is no way for the Lighting Node Pro or Lighting Node Core to control the fans on another device. It's not physically possible as each device is standalone. This is more common if you have the LCD pump top and that means it is not being detected in CUE. If so, now is the time for the full hardware description. The Commander Core and XT have an auto-detect feature for RGB fans. It senses what is connected and the number of LEDs per fan and sets it up accordingly. All other Corsair controllers are serial and must be set up manually. On the Lighting Node Core, go to Lighting Set-up and tell it what kind of fans you are using (LED count) and the number of fans. Generally the fans will not light up until this done and you add a lighting effect. 7 hours ago, Tbone310 said: I have all the fan power connected to the commander core using splitters If you are using a powered PWM hub (small circuit board with its own SATA power), then this is fine. If you are running 9 fans on PWM via 3 different 2-way PWM splitters, you are asking for trouble. It might be ok short term, but I would not continue on like that. You don't want to test the power capacity of any part of the Commander Core since blowing out one section may cause the AIO not to work. Powered PWM hubs are generally inexpensive and may cost less than three 2-way splitters.
