iCUE Not Showing Commander Pro H100i Elite - CPU Fan Error on Restart - Pump Sensor Fail

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I built a custom PC a little over a year ago and all has been fine ever since until last night after I rebooted my computer and got a CPU Fain Failure error while booting and my system went to fans 100% with the RGB lights flashing red. I have the iCUE H100i Elite Capellix AIO cooler. I checked the header and reseated the cable on it (from the CPU cooler) as well as reconnected the plug that runs to the commander RGB & Fan control unit but still have the issue.

It all started last night when I wanted to check and adjust my fan speeds and I noticed that I could no longer see the Commander Pro in the iCUE software. I also recalled that the fans haven't been spinning up while gaming. So, I reconnected the USB header (as per a recommendation on the forum here) and afterwards I could then see Commander Pro in my iCUE 4.x software. However, after rebooting my PC, I then received a CPU Fan error on boot. After going into BIOS and telling it to ignore the CPU Fan I was able to launch Windows. Everything appears to be fine and the pump appears to be working given my CPU temps remain normal even under load (ran PCMark, Heaven, and other stress tests and had no issues with overheating). I tried doing a clean reinstall of the iCUE software as well as a force update on the firmware of the H100i to no avail.

The concerning thing is that both the BIOS (ASUS TUF GAMING x570-Pro) is showing 0 RPM as is the iCUE software. But again, temps are fine, my CPU clocking is not throttling even under load. So as far as I can determine, the sensor for the pump went out. I thought about updating my BIOS but doubt that is the issue. I have submitted a ticket with Corsair Support last night so am awaiting their response.

Anyone else experienced this issue with the H100i or other Corsair AIOs?

Thanks and Cheers!
