How do I exactly turn corsair rgb virtuoso headset on when using the 3.5mm audio cord with my Xbox or phone

when I use the 3.5mm jack with my phone or xbox, the led don't work. I looked it up and it said I need to turn it on. I can't find a specific button to turn the headset on. when I use the wired mode the led are on but when I use to wired mode with the headphone jack it's not on.
