Dave M.
Hello, everyone. As part of a new system build, I purchased an iCue H115i liquid cooler which came with the pump, 2 fans integrated in the radiator, and a commander core unit. All of this is working perfectly with the latest iCue software, as is my Dominator RAM and my ASUS motherboard. Since the back 140mm exhaust fan on my case was not RGB, I decided to replace it. I purchased an ML140 fan. I thought this would be easy...I would connect the fan to the motherboard header and the RGB header of the fan to one of the 4 available ports on the commander core. Not so simple, it would appear. The fan is not detected in iCue, and does not light up. I tested it by disconnecting one of the RGB ports for one of the liquid cooler RGB fans, and plugged the new ML140 in and the RGB lights work, so I know the ML140 is not problematic. The fan spins, so I know it is getting power from the motherboard chassis 2 header. Any thoughts on how I can get this to work, or do I have to also purchase the lighting node specifically for this fan? I had thought that an RGB hub was just an RGB hub like any other. Thank you in advance to anyone who knows the answer to this and Happy Holidays to all! -Dave
Solution Dave M. Posted December 23, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted December 23, 2022 Figured it out myself...In the iCue software, under the Capellix section...go to lighting setup and run the wizard from there.
