CORSAIR iCUE v4.31.168 Not Responding leading to force Closing Itself

2 days ago I did a Factory reset on my computer to get a clean fresh start again. After installing Corsair's new v4.31 it ran fine on day 1. The following day I was unable to interact with the app. It was running in the background on startup, but the moment I click "Bring iCUE to Foreground" it prompt the window, but freeze. Couple seconds later it showed "Not Responding" and then forced closed itself. I re-launched Corsair and it went to closing itself every time.

I checked on Corsair's website on how to do a proper uninstall and reinstall and that did not lead to a fix. Then I check up on forums and people mention you can do a rollback. I am currently using v4.23 and everything is working fine like day 1. I am unsure whether to update to v4.31 and would like some feedback on any other measures to help with a fix I am facing.

Some notes to add into

  • I do not run a profile as I just leave everything default and do minor adjustments with color syncing/changing
  • I remember when uninstalling Corsair "do not check the profile backups" on some forums and I accidently did that. I was unsure whether to check those during my process because people mention within those backups are previous version and I already did it. Didn't know what to do and I just kept looking up on any previous versions to download and found v4.23. Not sure if it is any bad or worse, but I needed something to use.
  • During my factory reset, everything on the system was up to date before doing any reinstalling of apps and it cause me confusion on why Corsair was acting up. It was also very new to me due to not even running a v4 because I think I was still somewhere in late v3 versions and this new UI stuff surprised me a bit, but wasn't hard to learn where things were.

I just updated the iCUE software and having the exact same issue. Also, why is the installation so large? Really needs to consume 3GB of drive space?

Update: installed the legacy version and everything is working. Something wrong with the latest iCUE software as the previous version worked without issue.
