icue v.4.31.168 causes display corruption on icue nexus

Recommended Posts

Worked fine until recent update.  now the left 3 widgets flicker and turn solid blue.  if you move the screen or edit the screen layout you can see them displayed normally but will flicker and eventually solid blue with white spike.

Easier to see on video but cant upload that.

Someone else reported this as well.  I have not seen it on my Nexus and no way to tell yet whether this is a bug or local file corruption.  Try the easy fix first and do the repair install of CUE from the Windows Apps list -> Corsair iCUE -> "Modify".  Follow the prompts for the repair install.

Uninstall 4.31 normally though Windows.  DO NOT select the 'erase all user settings' option.  CUE automatically creates a backup file for each version when you update.  Then install 4.30.  It should pick up your files right as you left them prior to the update.

Is their a process to get this issue formally logged as a bug so it gets resolved in the next update?

It’s noted, but thus far there have only been two reports. I don’t think a cause is identified.

If more of you are encountering this, turn on debug logging in CUE settings, then reboot, wait for cue to load, then export the log if the corruption is present. Not sure if it will capture it or not.

This is a strange error. Only one change on the Nexus this update:

  • Resolved an issue with the inability to scroll in certain panels for iCUE NEXUS

So I guess the key question is if any of you have scrolling widgets set up and which “certain widgets” were changed.

For sure its a bug in the last version.  I dont like the idea of never updating iCue again because this was not formally entered in to the support/development pipeline.  I'd likely just stop using corsair peripherals at some point in the near future.  Which so far I favor.  The only real issue I've had is some games refuse to run because of anti-cheat flagging icue because I have RBG set to display color temps for CPU and GPU.  I started using corsair instead of razer because they were not bothering to fix know issues with their top of line gear.

Almost all of my widgets are scrolling (laterally) and I don’t see this on 4.31, so there must be another connection. From your picture, it looks like the PSU widgets were the scrambled ones. I don’t have an i-PSU.

Do you have multiple Nexus “pages”?  If so, did the left half scramble on every page/screen or just on the PSU values?  However, I do run cpu load % and don’t see this, so I might be chasing the wrong lead.

Make sure you reboot after installing the new driver and then you will need to add the GPU back into the CUE dashboard and Nexus.  CUE sees your new GPU as a new device, which it is, and gets the info from the driver.  If you've already done this, list which 4000 series model you're running so it can be noted.

Both.  Are you still seeing this on 4.32?

i found this thread earlier this month as im also having the same issues, my main screen was only setup to show gpu temps and cpu temps and a clock w/ date and the whole left side of the screen went blue and flashes. this seems to only effect the main screen, if you have multiple screens setup they all seem to work fine. I have since reverted to the update that was provided in this thread but i would love to be able to keep my things up to date and have them not broken.

This is an interesting idea.  Do you each have a single Nexus screen set up?  I have 4 and I still have not seen this issue yet.  I am not sure if they mean it doesn't happen at all with multiple screens or swapping to another screen fixes it (doesn't display corruption).

out the box the nexus is setup with 2 side scrolling screens, i modified the first one and the second screen is still default that shows the mute, unmute, lighting link, and G-keys buttons on it. my main 1st screen just had date and time in the far right space and the first 2 spaces were just cpu and gpu temps and half that first screen would go blue or blue and flashing, if you swipped over to screen 2 it was perfectly  normal
