PW612
I'm doing a new build and have the Corsair HX 750 with a MSI Pro-A Z-790 and an Intel Arc 750. Do I use the PCI-e cable provided with the HX-750and fill the 6 and 8 pin on the GPU on one end and then insert the 8 pin end into the PSU? Does the mean I should set it to single or multiple rail on the PSU in this config? Also using a Corsair 4000 D case and Vengeance DDR 5 5600 - memory Thanks! LeDoyen
you are correct for the connexion. 6+2 on the card, and 8 pin on the PSU. You don't need to worry about the single/multi. That's a setting for the overcurrent protection
PW612
Thanks for your answer- Since the GPU has a 6 pin slot and and 8pin slot: I'm I better off using the 6+2 connector with 6 pin loop -fill all both slots on the GPU with a single PCI-e cord or use the 2nd PCI-E cord and use one for the 6+2 and the other for the 6. It's the one thing I can't seem to find any guidance on
Solution LeDoyen Posted December 16, 2022 Solution Share Posted December 16, 2022 as much as possible, it's better to use discrete cables. two connectors : two cables
