Corsair H150i Elite LCD Exclamation Mark

Hello, new build here. First time yesterday powering on my fresh new build and I get this big well famous exclamation mark on my H150i Elite LCD  display.
So this was when first connecting to power. I then turn on the computer, it came to life did the Corsair logo and displayed cooler temp. Installed windows and icue shut it down and everything is fine. When I unplugged it from the wall and connected it again to power later on same issue, and then ran fine.

So my question is if this is normal procedure from first time plugging it to power, or is there something wrong that I have to take a look into.

I’m running 10 fans, 4 hubs (including Lian Li, and a node pro) all connected through icue. 33BDCF5B-9B1E-4705-8E4F-9FA14B8819AD.thumb.jpeg.22b53a525e84f155cb38c1202c21c645.jpeg748E8358-D2D8-44D8-B680-6AC85838B1E6.thumb.jpeg.7d295cf606304a404a4f38627433d663.jpegF24C7B07-5D70-443B-9AA4-A3B779211FDA.thumb.jpeg.e32ec24c2516f85d4b7fa4b78573e707.jpeg273FC00A-5A40-4915-8031-B4A89D6F3072.thumb.jpeg.99bd588fd933f49dbd93e44c7bd3cd5b.jpeg512208B6-D674-467D-BCED-4F9A48850CA1.thumb.jpeg.b4f3e896e9c606bbf2d8a8bfe10f0824.jpeg

The troubleshooting section is littered with these threads and people are worn out from all of them. The (!) is a general fault error, something like the “check engine” light coming on in your car. It can come on for a multitude of reasons without identifying the problem.

Standard first step any time you see this should be to power down the PC and flip the PSU off. Then disconnect the wide power connector to the pump on the end of the Commander Core, then reconnect it securely making sure the white stripe is lined up. If you have the LCD version you also need to pop the top off the block and remount it cleanly on that fixed connector. Now flip the PSU back on and start normally. The power cycling forces the Commander Core to do a full device re-check on boot. Most of these are missed checks between devices at power on, but the (!) is not limited to that and there can be other reasons. Genuine hardware issues like a pump fail will cause a clear and obvious CPU temp ramp up.

Thank you c-atack, I know that there is a lot of threads like mine, sorry for that. But for some reason that my issue is only when first connecting or power loss that it happens. Other than that everything works fine, after first boot I can even turn off and will not display again, until power is loss which if I dont disconnect it it wont happen. So im guessing of just leaving it as is.

Thanks.

So the (!) only comes back after the PSU is flipped off, power cord removed, or general home power loss?  Or it does this every cold boot and then if you manually restart the PC the LCD top starts normally?

The (!) only comes after the PSU has been flipped off, home power loss. Other than that it works as it should. That’s why I was asking if that was a normal procedure. Because after the first boot everything works as normal.

So it’s like this: after placing my computer on its stand, plugging in everything and flipping the power supply on, I get the (!) on the lcd screen. When I press the power button on the case, the lcd screen displays the Corsair logo, most like it’s booting up, then I get to windows, icue loads, my .gif logo changes place with Corsair, icue detects it fine and everything works as it should. Turning the pc off, lcd turns off as it should. Turning back on, same procedure.
Now if I flip the power supply off, remove it or power is lost, (!) comes back until I turn the pc back on.
I’m having so many question when it comes to power draw that I’m going to make another post about it. It might have to do something with it, as it doesn’t seem to be a normal thing. I would guess someone would have said it did happened the same way.

This is pretty much the opposite issue most users have.  After the full power off (PSU or house), both the Com Core and LCD top will do a deep reset.  It's possible the BIOS tries to initialize before the devices have finished their internal check.  I could see this happening if you have the BIOS in fast boot and maybe Windows in fast boot too.

I am also open to the possibility that this is now intended behavior following one of the many firmware updates intended to help users.  I don't have a working Elite Capeliix AIO + LCD top to test anymore and that's part of the reason I have not answered a lot of the E-C +LCD top help threads.  If there are other users with LCD units, let us know if this is the new normal.

Either way, I don't think there is too much cause for alarm.  You seem to be having some power issues which is likely causing you to flip the PSU off a lot more often than normal.  During normal day to day use, you won't be doing that and this will no longer be a regular issue.  Since you are able to correct it by doing a simple reboot, it seems like some type of hardware fault on either the AIO, Com Core, or LCD top is very unlikely.
