evga gtx series
I'm building a new PC with a Gigabyte B660 Aorus Master DDR4 mother board and an Intel I5-12400F LGA 1700 CPU. The problem I have is that the mother board has both a 2x8 and 2x2 12v power sockets for the CPU. My Corsair RM550x only came with the 8 pin cable. Can't find anywhere to get a cable that includes both the 2x8 and 2x2 connectors.
Solution LeDoyen Posted December 16, 2022 Solution Share Posted December 16, 2022 you do not need to connect them both. The 8 pin cable can provide over 300W already and your CPU is FAAAAAR from needing it 🙂 Even a 13900k would not need both cables. you can leave the 2+2 unpopulated and only connect the 8 pin you have.
