Adding RAMs of different SPD latency

Hello,

I have a PC build two years ago with 32 GB or RAM, ASUS PRIME X570-P and Ryzen 7 3700X.

CMW32GX4M2Z3200C16 is the current memory I have with SPD Latency 18-18-18-43 and SPD Speed 2666MHz and with XMP activated at 16-18-18-36 with 3200MHz.

I have to upgrade my PC to 64 GB and this memories are not in stock anymore but my local store has various memory cards with different latencies and speeds, SPD Latency 15-15-15-36 and SPD Speed 2133MHz and with XMP 16-20-20-38 with 3200MHz on CMH32GX4M2E3200C16 for example.

What are my chances of combining these? Will I have problems other than bottleneck?

Thanks in advance!

your best shot is getting a 64gb kit. The sticks are matched and guaranteed to work at the advertised speed.

matching different kits can work, but you'll have to figure out all the memory timings yourself and do a lot of trial and error to find something that works. and you have no idea what maximum speed you'll be able to achieve.

What is guaranteed is that they should work at the 2133 base frequency.. which is pretty crap 🙂 Above that, you're basically on your own

And even if you find kits with the same primary timings (16-18-18-36 @ 3200MHz), you have no idea what memory chips these are and if they have the same secondary timings (never advertised on the box these ones).

Also Corsair does not guarantee mixed kits will work together.

It's a bit of a pain because you have to eat the cost of your current 32gb kit, unless you can use them on another computer, or sell them, but it's the safest way to get things to work with no headaches.
