razoroh
My LED lighting for my Cosair One i164 at times will flash RED on both sides. I check my temps and everything is fine, not running hot. What does this mean?
Corsair Employees Corsair Mikimbin Posted December 15, 2022 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 15, 2022 Hey there. Are there error messages popping up within iCUE when this occurs? What are the readings the moment that the flashing occurs?
razoroh
I have not seen any messages pop up, not sure where in i Cue you look, I noticed a NOTIFICATIONS in the upper right but there are none listed. I will look at and make note of the readings, what in particular should I look for? I look at the GPU temps and the fan speed. I have also run the Corsair diagnostics but everything is OK (even did the stress, high level one). Thanks!
razoroh
Here is a screen shot at the time the red flashing started. I didn't mention before, but this has only been occurring when I am gaming.

Queeg
Your temps are high but reasonable. What were you doing when you got those numbers - idle or gaming?

Queeg
Those temperatures look fine to me, especially during gaming. Not sure what's up with the LEDs but it doesn't look to me like your PC is overheating.

I am worried that something is going wrong with my system. What do the flickering Red lights typically mean? Thanks.
Queeg
I think the LEDs are set to flash red in the event of excessive heat - I assume based on coolant temperature. And I think the side flashing signifies the component (CPU or GPU) affected - so both sides flashing would mean overheating of both components. But I don’t see that in your temperature readings. I expect the i164 should run cooler than the more recent 200 and 300 series, which have components that run hotter, so I may be misinterpreting the temps in your situation. But I really don’t think so. Wonder if it’s a software issue. Have you updated iCue?

ckibue
IIRC, the LEDs flash red when coolant temperatures are at or above 60 degrees C (140F) and it looks like one of your coolant temperatures is just above 140F, picture not very clear to read which.
