Worried about CX750M (2021)

Recommended Posts

Hello, as the title says, I'm a bit worried about the quality of the PSU as it pertains to my new PC:

Memory: 16gb x 2 (32gb) Corsair vengeance  Lpx 3200

Motherboard: MSI Tomahawk

SSD: 980 Samsung 1tb

HD: 1tb Seagate Barracuda

Water Cooler: Deepcool 240xe

PSU: Brand new CX750m (2021 version)

Anyway, the GPU is the real issue. I just purchased the Powercolor 6800 xt red devil overclocked (haven't installed it yet), which recommends a 850w PSU. and I've been reading that this PSU may not be up to par. Now I'm seriously concerned. Everything is at stock clocks, but I'm wondering if I'm getting worked up for nothing. Thanks.

If your GPU manufacturing is saying that the GPU requires an 850watt PSU minimum then that would be the minimum wattage of PSU you will need to utilize in order to ensure safe operation of their product.

Failure to utilize the correct PSU wattage can lead to failure and damage to components, which would not be covered by the PSU warranty.
