Douggan
I’ve purchased 2 separate fans now and both don’t match the fans that come with the h170i elite cooler. I’ve bought icue SP140rgb elite. They turned out to be different, and I’ve bought the Corsair ML 140rgb pro which was also wrong, does anyone know which model I need to look for? thanks

Solution c-attack Posted December 13, 2022 Solution Share Posted December 13, 2022 (edited) It depends on which version of the H170i Elite Capellix you have. The standard version comes with 3 x 140mm "ML-Elite OEM" fans. This is an 8 LED center hub fan designed for the Elite Capellix coolers. It has the same blade design as the retail version of the ML-Elite "premium' above, but without the fancier frame. It has a similar frame to what is on the SP-Elite. That retail ML-Elite fan came out about a year after the original Capellix AIO units. There isn't going to be any difference in performance. It is an aesthetic change. If you bought the H170i Elite LCD version, then you get the premium version of the ML-Elite in the box. The SP-Elite are the case fan version made to match the ML-Elite. It also is an 8 LED center hub fans but with a lower RPM more typical for case fan duty. All of these fans are RGB identical with a 8 center hub LEDs. The CUE program does not distinguish between them and they are collectively referred to as "8 LED fan series". You can mix and match these as you like and they are color tone identical by design. You do not want any of the ML-Pro or SP-Pro series. That was the prior generation and will be mismatched for LED count (4) or motor type (SP-Pro is DC). Cheers for the thorough answer, that’s makes a lot more sense, that’s really annoying because I only needed on 1 more fan but it looks like I have no choice but to have a different frame or have the lower rpm.
