MyAIOisbonkers
Greetings, I wish to replace my aging 6th gen Intel CPU, that has been faithfully cooled by my H80i v2 AIO for over the past six years, with an i5-13600K(or KF) CPU. Amazon shows it's LGA1700 compatible. I've heard of the bending issue w/ Intel's 12th gen CPU's, requiring a special socket LGA1700 mounting kit that seems can only be had at an additional cost. If this is correct, does it only apply to the 12th gen chips or will I still need this additional special mounting kit for the newest 13th gen Intel chips, as well? Also, out of curiosity, is the Corsair iCUE H115i RGB Elite I have on order compatible with AMD's newest AM5 motherboards?
c-attack
No v2 coolers for LGA 1700. Even if you find someone selling a kit that makes this work, it's going to be shoehorning a too small cold plate onto the new CPU. The H1xx Elite series you have ordered is compatible with 1700 and AM5 out of the box.

I'm slow, so to be clear, everything I need to mount the waterblock on top of an i5-13600KF will be in the AIO's box?
c-attack
It should be on the "H1xx Elite" series. There are still some H1xx Elite Capellix AIO units out in the wild that predate the 1700 socket and need the mounting kit. If you want to see some better pics of the mounting equipment, check out a review. It can be hard to ween out the 'Elite Capellix' reviews, but here is one that tests the H100i Elite on a Z690 confirming it has the necessary gear for 1700 in the box. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/corsair-h100i-elite-review Edited December 12, 2022 by c-attack
