notagrn
I installed the Corsair H100i RGB PRO XT cooler on my ASUS Z690-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi DDR4 motherboard using the Corsair LGA1700 Retrofit Kit. I made sure that the bracket on the back of the motherboard was seated correctly and then I screwed the standoffs into the bracket until they were fully tightened. But the standoffs were slightly wobbly after this. The standoffs used in the LGA1700 kit have the same thread length on both sides so its not like I screwed in the wrong end. Is this normal? I finished the install and my temps are good so it seems like everything is ok but I am concerned about the standoffs not being fully seated on the motherboard. Corsair Employees Solution Corsair Notepad Posted December 9, 2022 Corsair Employees Solution Share Posted December 9, 2022 There will always be a small amount of play with the backplate when only the standoffs are installed into it.
