Macros not working without iCue with k55

I got a K55 for a few years now.

I'm recently working for a new company and I can't install iCue on my new laptop. I was wondering how can I use macros without iCue?

I understood there is a way to record macros directly on the keyboard with the MR button but when holding it, the M light never pulse, it's either on or off.

And when I set the macros in iCue with my other computer, those Macros works fine on this computer but do nothing on my company laptop when I hit the Gx button.

Is there anything I could do to get this work?

Page 3 of the user manual discusses how to record macros on the keyboard (no software is involved). Here is an excerpt:

TO RECORD MACRO > Press MR key. The macro status LED indicator will start blinking to indicate macro recording mode is now on. > Select G-key you want the macro assigned to. The macro status LED indicator will start blinking rapidly to indicate macro recording is now in progress. > Every keypress will now be recorded. > Press MR key to stop recording. The macro status LED indicator will stop blinking and turn off.
