Corsair H150i PRO 47.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Flashing/Blinking Red

Recommended Posts

I have a Corsair H150i PRO 47.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler that was installed in 2020 and no problems with it until a few days ago.  I noticed the CPU Cooler was flashing/blinking red while the rest of my fans and RAM changed multi-colors.  I leave it on the Rainbow default setting.

I checked with ICUE and it showed that I'm running the latest version and firmware.  The sensors in ICUE showed the temperature for the H150I Pro around 150F and the RPMs for the Pump showed zero.  If I wait after turning the computer off and then turning it back on.  It will show the regular temperature for the H150I Pro and the regular RPMs for the pump.  ICUE also doesn't show me a warning that I have a failed pump.

Any ideas on what is going on and how I can fix this or does the CPU Cooler need to be replaced?

Contact Support. It’s likely at some point during the operation the power fluctuates on the unit and triggers the alarm. It could also be a tachometer sensor issue with the pump. If it really stops you’ll see your cpu skip up 45..50..55..60….80…85..,90.. in about 30 seconds. Regardless of whether the alarm state is false or genuine, this is not really a functional state and not common for the Pro series. 150F/60C is way outside of normal parameters so I do think the pump is not operating. You need to be careful and with zero flow any kind of load heats the stagnant liquid in the block and will not cool down for a long time.

I have contacted Support and I'm going to watch the Temp. and Pump after the Pump starts flashing/blinking red again to what happens.

I'm going to take a guess and say my problem is a first for this product because I search high and low and can't find anyone else with this flashing/blinking red problem.

I ever sent a support ticket to Corsair 5 days ago and never heard back from them.

I decided that it would just be less of a headache and I purchased a new iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler.   I hope I have no installation problems and can put these problems behind me.
