AJay
How can I be sure that my RAM is faulty? My system is now running with my OCZ RAM, but won't with the Corsiar. :( Details: ABIT IC7-MAX3 1024MB Corsiar XMS4404v1.1 With the Corsiar in the monitor doe not power up, even after clearing the CMOS. I switch the RAM with the OCZ and it works. Do I need a number to RMA? Let me know if you need more info/ details. Thank you
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 16, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 16, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts as well. If you do find one failing then lets get it or them replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However; if you get errors with both modules, that would suggest some other problem. And I would try testing the memory in another system to be sure. AJay
Thank you for the fast reply. I cannot get as far as to test them with the memtest program. I followed the link you provided, and it asks for an RMA number. Where do I find this number? Thank you, AJay
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 16, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 16, 2005 It should ask for a Ticket or Post ID# and that would be at the top of your post! "Forum Post Number: #196090"
AJay
I'm also located in the UK, does this mean I still have to send it to the US? Thank you, AJay
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 17, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 17, 2005 Please try your reseller first and see if they will help you and if not the submit the RMA request directly to us.
