Dicehunter
Bought a new Corsair PSU today, Installed it, Everything's working fine but noticed in the bios the 5v rail is reading as 4.960. Anything to worry about ?
LeDoyen
not really. motherboard sensors aren't too precise. Only a multimeter would tell you exactly what you have. my PSU reads 5.00V, the motherboard 4.96, my multimeter reads just over 5.2V on USB so that's that.. Corsair Employees Solution Corsair Notepad Posted November 30, 2022 Corsair Employees Solution Share Posted November 30, 2022 Also note that the ATX standard allows for +/- 10% variance, and we are stricter with a +/- 5% variance on output voltages per rail which 4.960v is well within. Thanks for the reply, Yeah it's within a 0.8% difference so like you say well within spec 🙂
