Austin g
Hi I just recently got a h115i elite and I already have a commander pro and was wondering If they are compatible. I can't find anything on the web site or out on the web if they are compatible and if they are how do you hook them up
Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted November 23, 2022 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 23, 2022 No you are not able to connect the Elite Capellix cooler up to the Commander Pro.
c-attack
The Commander Core is necessary to power the pump and there will be a special wide 22+ pin connector from the Commander Core to the pump top. No Commander Core, no power. If you only have 6 fans, then your Commander Pro may get a rest for a bit. The Com Core will have 6 PWM and 6 direct RGB headers. No more RGB lighting hub as that is inside the Commander Core now. Where you still might need the Commander Pro is if you are running something else in LED channel number 2. Because of the power functionality of the controller and the direct RGB connections, there is no room for a second LED port. That is found on the Commander XT model which drops the AIO power delivery. Something else you will want to do is export all your current software profiles prior to installing. Your fan lighting effects are not going to automatically transfer over. You will need to move them from the Commander Pro to the Commander Core by copying them to the library and then over. However, sometimes things don't go as planned and you really want saved copies that can be re-imported if things get overly tangled.
Dyldonic
I have the same issue, can i keep my fans plugged into commander pro and just add the commander core and just plug in the power for the h115i? Cause i also have LED expansion plugged into my commander pro cause the core dont have LED options
c-attack
You can leave the fan power/speed wires on the Commander Pro if necessary, but the radiator fans will work better on the Commander Core where it natively can access the coolant temperature without having to jump controllers. That requires CUE to be active. Either way, there is no safety feature to prevent you from using the Com Core as power delivery to the pump and nothing else. c-attack
If more than 6 fans, you can split them anyway you need to. My recommendation is to keep the radiator fans on the Commander Core. The others are not quite as important for location. There may be RGB reasons to split them as well. Commander Core can do mixed fan types. Commander Pro forces you to pick one type and is not as effective for that.
